All 20/20 videos and graphics typos were corrected.
Worked on poster for Paula Haynes.
Made a few test prints and cleaned printer heads on 4880. The light vivid magenta may need replacing in the near future.
Assisted Rene Delosh with some files.

Suzanne had her class. It ended at 6pm.
Paper jam with Scanjet 3000. Fine now.
20/20 dvd was corrected for the second time. Placed back in folder with todays date.
26 posters for Hayes lecture done and on shelf in front of 7880. They need to be posted around campus. Can student assistant do this? Otherwise we can ask Ann if she knows of someone who can.

Approx. 13 folders of student work is ready to be added to the Archive. The flashdisk and hardcopy contact sheets are in the back case w/the mac book.
Working on organizing all untouched photos of student work for Trent and Evan to begin working on next week. It will begin from the most recent exhibits to later dates. I have almost 1 and half years worth of photos to be photo-shopped.
Instructions for correcting Student work w/photoshop
1) Identify best pic: resolution, color distortion
Save original and duplicate.
2) Save Duplicate as a PSD.
3) Begin working on psd. Use Hue/Sat, Color Balance, Brightness/Contrast and Distort filter. May need to use blur, crop or stamp tool depending on background. Save psd.
4) Have Henry approve images for additional corrections.
5) Save psd as jpeg in hi and low-rez (72dpi). Be sure to also title files according to artists last name and number, for ex: sanchez1-lowrez.jpg, sanchez1-hirez.jpg, sanchez2-lowrez.jpg, sanchez2-hirez.jpg
Worked on Mark Dery poster. It will be ready for printing Monday.
Finished Digital Photo workshop at 6pm. Returned all equipment.
2 students came in all night.
Began training for After Effects.
New Student work dvd for Archive prepared. Ready for phototshop work. For Trent or Evan. Placed in laptop case.

a Teaching Assistant from Josh Azzarella's class came in tonight to be available for students. Of course none from Josh's class showed up.
For the second time this week the server disconnected causing all the computers to shut down around 9pm. (This happened on my Monday night shift) Not sure what is happening.
Worked again on After Effects.
One student came in tonight.
Busy with Brainstorm till 7:45pm. 3 dvd copies are available on Joe's desk for Suzanne to retrieve tomorrow.
Worked Suzanne on a few of her images and Berlin poster.
A student informed me the the 4880 and computers and the same side of Lab were without power. Somehow the breaker to the floor outlets was tripped. I flipped the switch back on. Everything is up and running.
A few students came in.
Again the all computers shut down at around 9:15pm. This has been happening a lot of late.
Pablo was working on IZZY and saving his images on the desktop when his computer shut down. Everything was erased when he turned it back on. Normally he would save everything till the end of the day and store it on either his hardrive or flashdisc. This time he didn’t get the chance because of the premature shutdown. Is there a way to recover his files and folders?

Helped one student with Final Cut Pro. Got her logged on Lynda as well.
Pricilla came by the use a Rebel. She only used it for 30 minutes. Downloaded the images and was done.
Other than two student including Mathew Walsh, none else came in.
Two students came in. One to use the Sewing discs.
Had to work on Octet exhibition, art work list much of the night.
Still waiting for Joe Bennett's workshop class description. Poster must be designed and ready for printing and posting next week.
Helped Francesca with Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. Burned dvd for her.

Is the workshop open to all SVA staff, faculty and students? I also need times for the class before I start designing the poster.
